Vigenin: It was clear that Borisov has no intention of governing - 1

There is no surprise in the fact that the “Zhelyazkov” it didn't pass. Borisov raised his hands before that, the government was presented enough for him to declare that he had fulfilled his constitutional obligation. It was clear that he has no intention of governing and taking responsibility, and that makes a second-term government impossible. In the situation with DPS, I cannot imagine that such a party could form a cabinet and bear political responsibility.

This is what the deputy chairman of the BSP Christian Vigenin told NOVA NEWS.

Yovchev: Political mistrust poses great risks for Bulgaria's security

He pointed out that there is a disintegration of political formations. “Even in GERB, no matter how much it tries to present itself as a monolithic formation, processes are developing there, and there is tension. It cannot be so, as the powerlessness of political formations to form a government leads to demotivation of politicians and voters, Vigenin also said.

„Internal conflict and eventual disintegration of the DPS could create space for potential more extreme ethnically based formations. That would be alarming. "I believe that the DPS will find a way out of the current situation," the politician believes.

Vigenin also said that at this stage he does not see the nucleus around which a government can be formed. He is of the opinion that "the third mandate is still a chance to leave party interests behind and create something that will lead Bulgaria through the upcoming challenges". According to him, in such a situation, it does not matter to whom the third term will go.

Vigenin commented on the decision of the control commission of the BSP, namely that Cornelia Ninova does not have the right to run for a new mandate as the head of the party. “I comply with the decision. There is probably a way to attack it when the time comes and if someone disagrees,” he pointed out.

„We will have a discussion with younger people. We are looking for a new beginning in the development of the Bulgarian left. An alternative that has the grounds to reach out to power. In this collapse of politics and statehood, the left is called upon to give new solutions”, Vigenin said.
