Our party today needs unity, there need of Honorary Chairman Dr. Ahmed Dogan. This was written in a post on the Facebook social network by the long-time mayor of Kardzhali from the Movement, Hassan Aziz, who was not nominated for the next mandate in the last elections.
"Invariably, Dr. Dogan has always so far shown the only right path for DPS in its most difficult moments. Our party today needs unification, it needs Honorary Chairman Dr. Ahmed Dogan! The path of DPS is the path drawn by Dr. Dogan!", Aziz declares.
In his post, he states that "for 34 years, DPS has been the basis of the development of European Bulgaria, invariably aided and abetted by the visionary and strategist Dr. Ahmed Dogan, who as early as 1990 identified the Euro-Atlantic future of Bulgaria" .
"During all these years, DPS has preserved its unity thanks to its responsibility to its voters, its values, the strength of its collective bodies, its democracy and its transparency. DPS was created and is developing along its path, drawn by its creator and honorary chairman – Dr. Dogan, and any deviation from this path must bring us back to the ideals and values laid down 34 years ago in the foundations of the party," says Hassan Aziz.
Earlier today, DPS chairman Delyan Peevski stated that DPS will be monolithic and will move forward with Mr. Dogan. Peevski added that the party will not split.
