Parents of children killed in accidents met with Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, BNT reported.
During the meeting, measures were discussed to limit the war on the roads and fatal accidents.
Parents are pushing for legislative changes to increase penalties. One of the proposals in some cases of road deaths is to qualify the charge as premeditated murder. The measures are mainly aimed at drunk and drugged drivers, as well as repeat offenders with multiple violations behind the wheel.
"There is no government. There is no parliament. There is nothing. We are in a vicious circle and we are fighting windmills. Our children pay the price. Here I want to address the politicians as a mother. That's scary to get your son in a nailed coffin. Let's stop this together.
