"From in recent hours, I have been observing rather the desperate attempt of some people to make an election campaign in a severe political crisis. This is how I interpret the perverted idea of people like Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev. What they are proposing is extremely unconstitutional. For people to tell you that only they can reform Bulgaria and fight corruption is one thing, but the facts show that these same people over the years lied about their dual citizenship, forged signatures on official documents, and their wards took pictures of themselves poodles that had bitten euro wads. It's a bit strange that these same people say "we are the only ones right".
This is what the MP from "There is such a people" said. Stanislav Balabanov in "The Day ON AIR".
According to him, ITN will fight for anti-corruption policies, but not in the way that is currently proposed, because it is anti-corruption.
"In their declaration it says "reform the services". Are you going to impose your names as chiefs of service in this way again? Will you again want someone like Boyko Rashkov as head of KPCONPI? The one pictured next to the poodle with the tufts. If, hypothetically, the decision of the Constitutional Court returns and declares as unconstitutional all these steps that they changed, all their anti-corruption rhetoric will collapse," the deputy pointed out.
If ITN gets the third mandate, it will send invitations for talks to all parties, Balabanov is categorical.
"If it comes to handing over a second mandate, we will receive invitations to talks, if there is a will from a majority to implement the policies on time, to find a broad majority on the subject and then to sit down and find the right expert a profile of the people who will stand behind these policies. In the beginning, only ITN made this move to get out of the crisis. At one point, everyone recognized the ITN idea of an expert cabinet. I am glad that everyone has matured to the idea of ITN. Every party has experts, the problem is the political leaders," he added.
According to him, in such a political environment, it is good to have a dialogue on policies.
"It is good to sit down and have a conversation, not to oblige the president to violate the Constitution. We say "let's remove all unconstitutional text in this declaration so we can support it". Let us together, if there is a majority, lead to an anti-corruption majority, and not just be a rubber stamp. I want, if there is a real desire for anti-corruption reform, to sit down and talk", commented Balabanov to Bulgaria ON AIR.
