Big business asked for compensation from the state due to the high price of electricity .
"Physical flows of electrical energy are directed from Greece, Europe, through us, to Romania and probably a part goes to Ukraine as well. This is due to the high temperatures and the deficit in Ukraine".
This was commented by the former Deputy Minister of Energy Elenko Bozhkov in "Day ON AIR".
During the day when the photovoltaics are working, the price is around BGN 200, and in the evening it goes up nearly 7 times and reaches BGN 1,000 per megawatt hour.
"Then you can see the meaning of the rotating machines that are in the large thermal power plants. When the home consumer enters the free market, it will affect the price. Compensations will have to be sought," Bozhkov told Bulgaria ON AIR.
"I feel hopeful about the change in CEO. The executive director of BEH became the executive director of the nuclear plant. The nuclear power plant gained a lot from this, the Bulgarian Energy Holding lost. This person is a professional, he is in his place," Bozhkov is emphatic.
"Whoever wants to produce nuclear energy must comply. You have to think in perspective. I have concerns that there is a lack of systematicity in starting the project for the 7th and 8th units of the "Kozloduy" NPP. I advise my colleagues to turn to those who have seen and experienced nuclear energy in Bulgaria.
