A spam campaign is spreading on the Internet by the name of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), alerted by the institution.
The NHIF continues to receive reports from citizens about receiving fake e-mails on behalf of the Health Insurance Fund.
Typically, this type of pirated message requires a certain confirmation action from the user, which triggers a cyber attack on their device, NHIF warns.
The institution warns that it does not send by e-mail to citizens or contractual partners files concerning their health insurance status, information on amounts due and other personal information, BTV reported.
In these cases, we are talking about spam letters, sometimes with malicious software attached, the National Health Insurance Fund emphasizes in a message to the media.
Once again, we draw your attention to the fact that upon receiving such type of letters with dubious content, citizens can report to the NHIF, as well as alert the competent authorities for investigating cybercrimes, adds the institution.
