The fire at the Tsalapitsa landfill has been fully extinguished. A team of fire fighters and water carriers of OP “Cleanliness” remains on duty. Two water sprinklers have been provided for the landfill and will also remain there.

Indicators for air quality in Plovdiv are good, according to the data of the two measuring stations of RIOSV in the city. RZI canceled the measures with recommendations to wear masks and limit outdoor activities, adds the mayor.
He thanked the professionalism and dedication of the Plovdiv firefighters, his deputy for ecology Ivan Stoyanov, who has been at the depot since the first fire station, Desislava Georgieva, the companies PIMK, GAP 07, Persenk, European Roads, Sofia Asphalt, which have responded and immediately sent people and equipment to help extinguish the fire.
