Elisaveta Belobradova: I voted against Putin's law on education

When it became clear that this was a political action for pre-election campaigning of a really stupid and totally thoughtless nature, and not law-making, I voted categorically against all texts

Today The National Assembly with the votes of GERB, BSP, ITN, Vazrazhdane, Velichie and DPS adopted an absolutely inadmissible bill made of texts from Wikipedia and Putin's law. And I am obliged to give an explanation as a representative of the people.

First, in the hall I voted AGAINST ALL proposals at first and second reading.

This is what he wrote on "Facebook" the MP from PP-DB Elisaveta Belobradova.

The Revival bill was already introduced in the previous National Assembly, and even then it was explained by us and by GERB that it was absolutely untenable. The Ministry of Education and Science clearly said that not a single definition in this bill is legal.

In this National Assembly, I clearly explained in the Education and Science Committee that the bill is incomprehensible, the definition it proposes is a complete misunderstanding. The bill passed in committee with the votes of GERB, BSP, Vazrzdhane and ITN. I voted "Abstained" not because I doubt that the draft law is absolutely untenable and harmful, but because it is completely incomprehensible and as an expert I cannot even form a conviction as to what it is at all - that is my job in the committee, to form an expert opinion. For the emotionally inclined, quite understandably, citizens, the vote "Abstain" is equated to "Against" when counting the vote and the "For" votes; are the only ones who can push a bill.

Today, a performance was held in the hall, in which the colleagues from GERB, Vazrazhdane, ITN, Velichie, BSP and DPS, openly contradicting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, created a crazy precedent by passing a law, after which GERB, BSP, Revival ITN and Velichie sans DPS adopted a definition that contradicts the practice of the European Court of Human Rights.

When it became clear that this was a political action for pre-election campaigning of a really stupid and totally thoughtless nature, and not law-making, I voted categorically against all the texts.

GERB showed absolutely inadequate behavior by themselves explaining from the podium that the definition contradicts the Constitution and then supporting it. Why, colleagues? It was up to you not to pass this bill, but you thought you were playing election campaigns and "it will only pass first reading, this-that, then we will fix it"

Fix it now!

All the propaganda about how supporting this bill is a right-wing position is offensive. I am a right-wing person who works entirely for the welfare of the Bulgarian family and his work is dedicated to this, and I am fully convinced that we have witnessed the first turn towards a dictatorship based on suggestions, hysteria and complete unconstitutionality.
