Gabriel Valkov: Coalitions should be made after the elections - 1

I don't think there is an internal party battle, the end of this battle was complicated, after Cornelia Ninova resigned. We have an acting chairman who will be in this position until the official election of a new chairman of the BSP. The truth is that Ninova resigned and I don't see what she is claiming for.

This is what the leader of the Youth BSP, Gabriel Valkov, said in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".

In his words, the BSP continues to fall in terms of results.

"You cannot go from 1 million votes to 150,000 and then claim to be the chairman. When you run for a new mandate, it means you want to continue what you started. What she did as the Speaker is that the BSP's score went down with each passing election. There is no reason for her to apply for another mandate, because that would mean an even greater drop in the result," Valkov added for Bulgaria ON AIR.

He emphasized that the party wants to take a new direction.

"The new direction is expressed in new faces, BSP to show new ideas, new policies. This also goes through the unification of the left, which is a new direction. At the moment, there is a fairly good dialogue between all left-wing parties, today there was also a meeting in the National Assembly", explained the leader of the Youth BSP.

He is adamant that the most important thing is policies.

"Different individuals can do different actions, but the most important thing is what is the platform of a party. For me and our youth organization, the priority is the big scissors between the poor and the rich. It is a redistribution of goods, it is a measure that fights with different mechanisms. The main mechanism in the fight against inequalities is to raise taxes for the rich and to reduce them for the poor", comments Gabriel Valkov.

According to him, this problem affects the working poor.

"The National Council chooses the lists, that is the law, this is not a decision of the BSP. Kornelia Ninova lied to the BSP, withdrawing her resignation and now she is trying to come back somehow. She is one of the chairmen that the BSP replaces along the way," added the guest.

He is of the opinion that coalitions should be made after the elections.

"We do not know which parties will enter and which will not. After that, we don't know those who will enter, what percentage they will have. In the previous elections, no one put "Greatness" in the accounts. There are always surprises and there is no way to talk about a government in advance", Gabriel Valkov also said.
