Two accidents with serious injuries occurred within a few minutes in Sopot and in the village of Dabene. The signals were received at 8:50 and 9:10.
This was specified by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Plovdiv
According to the preliminary information, the first accident occurred in the village of Dabene, where a car driven by a 44-year-old man did not keep the distance and hit another car driven by a 75-year-old woman from behind.
As a result of the collision, the woman hit a 90-year-old pedestrian.
During the accident, one of the cars jumped to the side and hit two cars parked nearby.
In the second road accident, an 87-year-old woman was hit on a footpath on “Ivan Vazov” in the city of Sopot by a car driven by an 82-year-old driver. The condition of both victims is critical, as they were transported to a Plovdiv hospital for emergency medical care.
The three drivers were tested for the use of alcohol, but the results were negative. The scene of the accident has been preserved by the law enforcement officers, actions have been taken to clarify the factual situation in detail and establish the reasons.
