For the third Saturday in a row, the residents of the Varna village of Popovich and the village of Dyulino, Byala municipality, Varna region, are organizing a protest because of unfinished emergency repairs and restoration works on the roadway and pavement of a municipal road VAR 2071/III-906/ Dyulino–Popovich–Border Municipality (Byala Nesebar)- /I-9 / on the territory of Byala municipality.
The financing is by decree of the Council of Ministers No. 395 of 01.12.2022, with a total value of BGN 2,746,734.00 including VAT and an approximate length of about 3 km.
The construction works started at the beginning of July last year and stopped in September of the same year. This is the only connection between the villages of Dulino and Popovich with Byala and Obzor.
The protests are a consequence of the accumulated dissatisfaction among the residents of the two villages. They are demanding swift and decisive action to complete the road and restore it to normal and safe
access to their homes.
The one-hour protest will be held today, from 18:00 to 19:00, on the second pedestrian path in the town of Byala, on the road from Obzor, the organizers say.
