Residents of Stara Zagora claim that an emergency team kicked and insulted an injured man from Roma origin, Nova TV broadcasts.
In the footage, also distributed on social networks, it is seen how an emergency team responds to the report of a man in a helpless state. Insults are heard, and witnesses claim that the patient was kicked. The video collected over a million views in just one day.

„The gentleman had fallen and we stopped to help. We gathered about a dozen passers-by. We called the Emergency Service in Stara Zagora. Police came first, then EMS. The medical team behaved rudely and nasty, they said that they would not take him up and that this was not the first time for him,”, said Yordanov. According to him, the doctor used offensive words towards the man, and the examination was “kicking with a foot”.
Dr. Galina Argirova denies that she refused to help him.
„This is a familiar patient to me and to all colleagues from the Emergency Department. This is a patient I have served many times. I claim he is highly aggressive. I checked with my foot to see if he would react with some kind of reflex. "When I get close to him and he's not in handcuffs, that patient is dangerous," she admitted.
Dr. Argirova said that she personally repeatedly administered glucose and diazepam to the patient and saved his life, including by cardiac massage.
„A few shifts ago, I was called again for the same patient, he was drunk again. During the transport to the Emergency Department, this patient stood up and was fine,”, the doctor said.
Yordan Yordanov, on the other hand, denies that the witnesses attacked the emergency team.
„We have no way of knowing that she picked him up another time and he behaved aggressively,” said Yordanov.
The CSMP in Stara Zagora stated that they will initiate disciplinary proceedings to establish all the circumstances. There will be an investigation, the Ethics Commission will be referred.
