The call of GERB leader Boyko Borisov to release Kalin Stoyanov is an attempt at a new direction in the election campaign of GERB. He used this moment to show that his party is not dependent on anyone.

"Today, the main factors are slowly defining their positions and starting, sometimes more timidly, sometimes more boldly, to state in turn what the consequences of what happened yesterday are. For now, we are still in the realm of political crisis," commented the political scientist. The line of GERB leader Boyko Borisov is clear – distancing from the presidency and the internal party problems of the parties, Stefanov pointed out.
According to him, the attempts of the political parties to fill the vacant posts in the so-called "homebook“ are part of their election campaign. "If Kalin Stoyanov is recognizable by all political subjects as a problem for the conduct of fair elections, they must realize what their role and complicity is in the fact that Bulgarian citizens do not have confidence in the institutions and elections and do not vote. If they do not change the way they speak, the Bulgarians will not give them a vote of confidence”, said Lyubomir Stefanov.
If the current caretaker government of Dimitar Glavchev continues to work, it will mean a deepening of the political crisis, he believes.
However, according to Stefanov, everything is in the hands of acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, who can request the resignation of any of his ministers: "If the problem is Kalin Stoyanov, Dimitar Glavchev should fire him today.
