The cabinet with Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev is meeting today at a government meeting, the press service of the Council of Ministers announced, BTA reported .
After President Rumen Radev expressed his disapproval of signing the decree for a new caretaker government, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Audit Chamber Goritza Kozhareva-Grancharova, because of her refusal to replace the caretaker Minister of Internal Affairs Kalin Stoyanov, the “Glavchev” continues to work. Dimitar Glavchev expressed his readiness to continue fulfilling his duties as acting Prime Minister as long as necessary so that the country does not fall into a constitutional crisis.
„Given the situation that has arisen and if this would prevent further institutional blockage, I declare that I am ready to participate in the constitutional procedure for the appointment of an acting prime minister”, Glavchev also pointed out.
The agenda of the government meeting includes eight items, among which a decision to approve Bulgaria's participation in the 19th edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale, which will take place from May 10 to November 23, 2025, as well as a decision to ensure of a state guarantee for temporary exposure “In the eye of the storm. Secession in Ukraine“ in the National Gallery - the Palace, representing movable cultural values.
