Valentin Tonchev: Peevski's time in Bulgarian politics is coming to an end - 1

The life of Delyan Peevski in Bulgarian politics and specifically in DPS ended. DPS will appear in the elections with the authentic Movement of Ahmed Dogan, who is returning to operational politics.

This was stated by the independent MP, elected from the DPS list and from Ahmed Dogan's group, Valentin Tonchev in an interview with BNR.

He is categorical that the Movement has the heavy responsibility of being the bearer of change in Bulgarian politics.

"It was the group loyal to Dogan who proposed in the National Assembly to fill in the list of possible candidates for Prime Minister of Bulgaria, so that President Rumen Radev would have a greater choice, he recalled.

"We wanted more political time, for the list to be filled and for the political parties to show responsibility. Glavchev should look for another interior minister. We signaled that this person - Glavchev, demonstrated addictions in various matters of his work. Let's remind about the election and dismissal of regional governors. "Someone is dictating to Mr. Glavchev what to do," commented Valentin Tonchev.

According to him, not only Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, but also other ministers from this cabinet have shown addictions. And he expressed doubt that the old new caretaker prime minister will have more freedom this time in choosing ministers for the draft cabinet.

"Do you think there will be this freedom? We strongly hope that we will hold fair, transparent and democratic elections. Two days ago Boyko Borisov demanded the resignation of Kalin Stoyanov. What was Glavchev's reaction? Silence!" Tonchev recalled.

The MP from the Movement is convinced that Peevski is not a threat to the DPS, and there is no way there can be one, because the entire party asset, sympathizers stand behind the authentic DPS, headed by Ahmed Dogan.

"DPS again has the responsibility to be the bearer of change, to unblock the political system and not go to the 8th and 9th elections. The crisis was caused by one person and his name is Peevski. "One person, with the way he controls the institutions and uses power for personal and economic purposes, prevents us from living with a European state of law," commented Tonchev.

He admitted that everyone in DPS is to blame for Peevski's current rule:

"Of course we are to blame, no one thinks that Dogan and we will bury our heads in the sand like ostriches and cover up. We must have a frank conversation with Bulgarian society and apologize to our voters that Peevski gained such power in Bulgarian politics. If it wasn't for DPS, Dogan and our members and sympathizers, Peevski would not have reached this power,” explained the MP.

And added:

"Today, all those who support DPS and Dogan are unanimous that Peevski's political path must end."

Tonchev said that the DPS call "Without Peevski" crosses party lines in "Bulgaria without Peevski" and hinted that the USA and Great Britain have long lost confidence in him by putting him on the "Magnitsky" list.

"The people around Peevski floundered in the sea of democracy and began to drown. The greatest asset of DPS is our members and that everyone can speak and express their will and speak openly. As long as they express their will, DPS cannot be threatened. Peevski should not be seen as the moral judge of Bulgaria's democracy. Is this how the state should function?", warned Valentin Tonchev.

And he declared that DPS will emerge stronger from this crisis:

"We have a road map and a plan to follow. We will soon prove that DPS is an unavoidable factor and works for its constituents. And the future of the DPS is determined by the voters and sympathizers of the DPS."

He said that in places "there are mobilized people, instructed to push members and sympathizers in Peevski's fight to control the DPS.

Tonchev stated that they have no worries and will put their house in order, and the formula for this was clearly defined by Ahmed Dogan at the meeting at the beginning of the week.
