On September 13, Friday , at the “Graf Ignatievo“ the head of state Rumen Radev will make a demonstration flight of an F-16 fighter at the invitation of the US Air Force.
At the “Graf Ignatievo“ the head of state will award the Presidential Medal of Honor to Brigadier General Thad Clark, commander of the 31st Fighter Wing of the US Air Force at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
The award is for his significant contribution to the strategic defense cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA.
On September 14, Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., President Rumen Radev will visit the open flying day at the “Graf Ignatievo“ airbase. on the occasion of 20 years since the admission of Bulgaria to NATO and 35 years since the acceptance of the MiG-29 aircraft into service with the Bulgarian Air Force, reports the press office of the head of state.
