Dr. Orlin Kolev explained what happens if Radev still does not sign for an interim cabinet - 1

"I hope we don't get to this situation. Still, it is a possible hypothesis," the specialist in constitutional law, Dr. Orlin Kolev, said on the air of bTV in connection with the possibility that President Radev would not sign for an official cabinet again, quoted by novini.bg.

We remind you that the head of state has already refused to sign the decree for the draft cabinet of Gorica Grancharova - Kozhareva because of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. Subsequently, he handed a mandate to form a government to the current acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, who is expected to present it to "Dondukov" 2.
"If the president continues with his practice or logic, then the possibilities before him are not many. There are some options that do not seem suitable to me at the moment, ie. to fill in the list of potential office prime ministers, because this does not mean that we are choosing the person for the specific state post, but that we are choosing an office prime minister", commented Dr. Kolev. However, he does not consider that the 50th National Assembly should appoint an ombudsman.

"What the president can do is ask the Constitutional Court to give an interpretation. The other option is simply unthinkable - to enter a state of emergency," the constitutionalist also believes.

According to him, there is still a way out, but these two duties should be separated - the duties of forming an interim government and early elections.

"When we tie the interim government to the scheduling of the parliamentary elections and in the case of the impossibility of forming an interim government, we reach a dead end. This is not the right approach," he commented.

According to him, the parliamentary elections should not be postponed.
