CEC: On September 2, the acceptance of the documents of the parties and coalitions for the elections in October begins

I cannot guess which DPS will appear in the elections. There is one registered party in the SGS with the name DPS. When the registration documents are submitted, the CEC will review them and make a decision. The CEC cannot comment on internal party affairs - neither in the DPS nor in the BSP, commented CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva

CEC: On September 2, the acceptance of the documents of the parties and coalitions for the elections in October begins - 1

The elections will be held the way we voted for people's representatives on June 9. These are the sixth early elections and the seventh in total for parliament since 2021. I believe that absolutely all institutions that are related to the elections will do their work as described in the laws and the Constitution. The CEC believes that these elections will be organized in such a way that every Bulgarian citizen can cast his vote. I call for no tension to be created so that we can greet each other with fair and transparent elections

This was stated in a briefing by the Chairman of the CEC, Kamelia Neikova, on the occasion of the upcoming early elections for people's representatives on October 27, quoted by novini.bg.
"So far we have adopted 17 decisions. Among them, the most important are the chronogram for holding the elections and the public order for the voting machines," CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva added. "On September 2, Monday, the acceptance of the documents for the registration of the parties and coalitions for the elections for people's representatives begins,", she also said.
"I cannot guess which DPS will appear in the elections. There is one registered party in the SGS with the name DPS. When the registration documents are submitted, the CEC will review them and make a decision. The CEC cannot comment on internal party affairs - neither in the DPS nor in the BSP. I have not heard of threatened colleagues. I found out today from the media about this, but I have no such information. I can say that the CEC reflected in its registers for the 50th National Assembly a change of the representative of the coalition "BSP for Bulgaria", which was stated before the CEC. The decision to change the representative is not ours. This is a decision of the coalition partners. We have reflected the decision already taken in our records. I cannot guess why one or another document is submitted to the CEC. This document for replacement has been submitted, we have examined it and made our decision", commented Rositsa Mateva on the cases surrounding the intra-party discords in DPS and BSP.
