Maya Dimitrova: The National Council of the BSP is the one that approves the lists and has the last word - 1

Never 1+1 does not equal two, especially in politics. What we want to do by bringing all the left forces together is actually for them to do better at the national level. This disunity of the left - that each left party participates with a separate list, should not be in the upcoming elections. That's why we started with the idea of unification.

This is what Maya Dimitrova from the BSP said in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".

In her words, the National Council, which was convened, is also because Cornelia Ninova does not fulfill the statutory norms.

"We all heard that she gave Georgi Svilenski and Ivan Chenchev powers of attorney to represent the party in the upcoming elections, although the Statute tells us that when we have a resigned president, his functions are performed by the vice-presidents . What the Statute says is that party members are excluded from main party organizations, municipal councils and regional councils, as well as from the National Council," added Dimitrova for Bulgaria ON AIR.

She hopes that the Supreme Court will come up with a decision quickly.

"Risk exists. When the case is before the Supreme Court, the complaint cannot be submitted only by the party, but must be re-signed by a lawyer. In order to delay the case and risk the registration of the party, it is possible that the complaint was deliberately not re-signed by a lawyer. As far as I know, the acting chairman has registered to participate in the by-elections. At the moment, we are represented in the CEC as "BSP for Bulgaria", commented the political representative.

Maya Dimitrova recalled that the coalition agreement will be signed on Thursday, September 5.

"Surely no one expected it to get to the point where complaints were made. When a person resigns, it is quite reasonable to think that that person has indeed resigned and no longer wishes to be party chairman. No one expected that it would come to the point where we would be sued, the registration of the party would be suspended. "A 130-year-old party has come to the point where there are mutual accusations," the guest added.

She is categorical that Bulgaria needs a strong left to stand at the head of the country: "The National Council is the one that approves the lists, it has the last word".
