Halilov: Peevski and the cohort around him want to appropriate the brand "DPS"

< p>There is one DPS – it was created by Chairman Emeritus Dr. Ahmed Dogan and is for all people who share its principles and ideals. Delyan Peevski and the people around him are excluded from the DPS and do not represent the will of our voters. The coalition created by Peevski is nationalist, not Euro-Atlantic, and this is evident from the programs of its partners. That is why she cannot represent the voters of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. Timur Halilov expressed this categorical position at a briefing in the National Assembly.

He made a repeated appeal to the Bulgarian political class to categorically distance itself from Delyan Peevski. “The way our Euro-Atlantic partners bravely reacted through personal sanctions and categorical declarations against him and his actions. Today, more than ever, we need decisiveness in actions and escape from fear for personal and party welfare”, stressed Khalilov.

The Movement is counting on statehood to prevail in the place of Delyan Peevski's Mutren approaches.

„After the unprecedented intervention of a group of people's representatives with exceptions from the DPS, Delyan Peevski, who on September 2nd, with mutine approaches, hindered the work of the CEC members, today we would like to introduce the public to the real faces of the “revivalists” from Coalition “New Beginning“ and their real goal to destroy DPS. We inform the public about an application submitted by Delyan Peevski to delete the registration of the DPS, allowed to participate in the partial elections in the Municipality of Omurtag and a number of other town halls on October 20, 2024. Delyan Peevski submitted an application to delete the registration of the DPS for participation in the new early elections on 20.10.2024. With the aforementioned application submitted by the "New Beginning" Coalition, Peevski's Euro-Atlantic mask fell for good. It became clear to all that he and the cohort around him never represented the voters of the Rights and Freedoms Movement, never worked for the interests of the Rights and Freedoms Movement, and their real goal was to destroy the party once and for all and appropriate the brand of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms rights and freedoms. With a decision of the CEC of September 4, the application to delete the registration of the DPS was rejected. And again – with a decision of the CEC, the registration of the pseudo-Euro-Atlantic coalition of the “revivalists” from “The New Beginning” for participation in the new and early elections on October 20, 2024. We expect the state to prevail in the rest of the decisions that will be made in the future in connection with the attempts to illegally appropriate and destroy the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, explained Khalilov.< /p>

He once again shed light on the fact that Delyan Peevski is excluded from the DPS, therefore he cannot speak on behalf of the Movement. “We expect the authorities, who on September 2 were prevented from doing their work in an unprecedented and brutal manner, to shake off their addictions, if any, and do the needful.
