On September 6 we must think about the unity of the nation. For the first time in many years, I have the leadership of the BSP, which is frank, broad-minded, addressed to all left forces. Yesterday we signed an agreement, the setbacks are not important.
This was said by Prof. Alexander Tomov from the "Bulgarian Social Democracy - Euroleft" in the show "The Day ON AIR".
The unification has within itself a program that provides an alternative, he emphasized.
"The aim is not only to increase the result. Within 10 days you will see a program that will be radically different and will say: "Stop the backwardness of Bulgaria, stop the flight of young Bulgarians abroad". There are two battles - for the top of the ranking and reaching a consensus in the next parliament", Prof. Tomov explained to Bulgaria ON AIR.
"We have a chance for the unification yesterday to be absolutely anti-corruption - not one of them on the lists will be accused of stealing state funds. We all know who steals the money. The prosecution did not do its job, but that is not enough. "Boyko Borisov's model of controlling business and taking money and power according to the formula must be destroyed," he is emphatic.
"We need unity. Let the self stop. What is happening in BSP is almost a revolution. The trio Zafirov, Vigenin, Gutsanov are on a new path. It's turning everything around. We have earned trust and we have returned trust. We have fully given the authority regarding the lists in the hands of Mr. Atanas Zafirov. There are two cabinet options. One is if a majority of the change is obtained - a consensus government without GERB. Another consensus can be obtained on the basis of a programmatic government with specific objectives. It depends on the people's vote. We need a serious government", summed up Prof. Tomov.
