The European Mobility Week begins  - 1

The European Mobility Week will be held from today until September 22, during which there will be various initiatives in the country, BTA reported .

The aim is to encourage the participation of municipalities, schools, non-governmental and business organizations in events to achieve sustainable urban mobility, which lead to a reduction in air pollution, noise pollution, congestion, traffic accidents and health problems, the Ministry announced of the environment and waters. The emphasis this year is on shared space. From there, they called on more cities to join this year's campaign.

Regional Environment and Water Inspections (RIOSV) will participate in the European Mobility Week. In some places, employees of the RISW will set a personal example of environmental protection by choosing to travel by bicycle to the workplace, it is clear from the program of events published on the website of the Ministry of the Environment.

Guidelines and informational resources for promoting physical activity, sustainable lifestyles, activating local communities and changing the environment will be published on the website of RIOSV-Plovdiv. They were developed by the "BG Be Active" association. Lecture on the topic “Atmospheric air condition in the city of Plovdiv, monitoring and possible measures for its improvement” will be organized for students from the University of Food Technologies-Plovdiv. Children from kindergartens in the City under the Hills will discuss with experts safe movement on pedestrian and bicycle lanes. There will be similar initiatives for the smallest in other cities of the country.

Walk along the eco-path “Forest Path of Fairy Tales“ - The Vrachan Balkan is planned for September 20 by RIOSV – Vratsa. A hike with students from the third and fourth grade through the eco-path with mineral springs, a presentation with the students from the first and second grade on traffic safety are part of the events organized with the assistance of RIOSV-Shumen. Interactive games, exhibitions and competitions are among the upcoming activities in the country this week. The culmination of the initiatives is the Car Free Day, which is traditionally organized on September 22.
