The final composition and leaders of the lists of coalition “BSP - United Left“ for the upcoming parliamentary elections will become clear by the end of the week.
This was announced by the acting chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov at a press conference at the party's headquarters. He pointed out that the process of structuring the left union continues actively and they are already at the stage of finalizing the pre-election program and the candidate lists.
Maya Manolova, chairman of the party "Stand Up, Bulgaria", said that she will not participate in the lists of the "BSP - United Left". for the upcoming vote. I will neither be the leader of the list, nor will I participate in the list of the left unification, she declared and added that "Stand up, Bulgaria" participates in this unification in order to restore confidence in the left, to make its representation strong in the next parliament, and the way to this goes through "a step back" of the leaders.
I welcome the request of some of the leaders on the left that they will not be leaders of lists in the upcoming lists, and I call on those who have not yet done so to do so in the coming days, said Manolova, quoted by BTA. In this way, we will show that we are not in this union because of the parliamentary seats, she pointed out.
According to Manolova, the leaders should take a step back and give way to the young. I also send this message to the leaders of the parties represented in the parliament, who are sending us to the seventh consecutive election, she added.
