The pharmaceutical industry confirmed its readiness to protest, because the intention to place vending machines in settlements without pharmacies.

"In the second parliament, we introduce this bill to end an unequal situation in which the inhabitants of a large part of the country find themselves. In many settlements, even regional centers, there are no 24-hour pharmacies. We are not talking about prescription drugs here, but any kind of medication. In the 49th Parliament, this bill was even rejected at first reading, but now it has passed".

This is what the MP from "Vazrazhdane" said. Petar Petrov in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".

He also listed some of the regional cities that are without round-the-clock access to medicines - Yambol, Pernik, Lovech, Montana, Vidin and Silistra.

"The Bulgarian people deserve it, not to travel half an hour or an hour to the nearest pharmacy at night, but to have one open nearby or vending machines for medicines that are without a prescription and will be determined by the National Pharmacy Card, and which will determine in which settlements, where there is no 24-hour pharmacy, there can be vending machines for medicines", added Petrov for Bulgaria ON AIR.

In his words, regions in Bulgaria are not developing equally.

"In many of the depopulated areas in Bulgaria, people do not have access to basic social services, as well as access to medicines, which is also reflected in the National Pharmacy Card. We do not create obligations to detect machines with certain parameters. This will be determined by the Ministry of Health. We are not doing it for election purposes, but to catch up with countries like Sweden, the Netherlands, Ireland and Belgium, where medicines are sold without a prescription and outside pharmacies. Aren't we supposed to be going to the western countries?", asked the national representative rhetorically.

He assured that no prescription drugs will be sold.

"Let's stop this pharmacy tourism to Serbia and Turkey. Note that pharmacists voiced negative opinions only on the vending machine part of the bill, but not on the night pharmacy part. We have to think about what this is due to. This is pure lobbying, but there are also positive opinions. KNSB supports the law in its entirety, the National Association of Municipalities - too," comments Petar Petrov.

From "Revival" they will monitor the control and ensure that there are no abuses.

And the party goes to the elections with the idea of having a working government: "There are constantly new political players, I cannot say now how and with whom we will negotiate. It depends on the Bulgarian voter who he will prefer in the elections".

"Our history with PCM is not just common, it is one. We from "Revival" we have an idea to continue defending this interest and that these are Bulgarians who live there. It was a mistake to drop the veto at the end of the 47th NA, nothing good came of it. It is increasingly humiliating on the part of those in power," the guest concluded.
