„Both the poverty line and the minimum wage are not quantities to which we should strive. We need to produce more, not expect the state to increase incomes by administratively increasing the MPR. The net minimum wage must be compared to the poverty line. The state increases the minimum wage and makes it so that low-skilled workers cannot make it. For this reason, foreign investors are closing and leaving the country, Velev said.
The expert commented on the postponement of the new formula for the calculation of the garbage fee. “The reaction of business is negative, because the postponement of the “polluter pays” results in the polluter continuing to pollute without paying because someone else is doing it. Business pays the majority without generating household waste, Velev explained. And he added that from next year there will be sanctions from the European Commission because of this.
