Haralan Alexandrov: We will have a government after the vote if a unifying figure is found - 1
< p>We will have a government after the vote for a longer time if everyone unites around one powerful figure. This was commented by the social anthropologist Haralan Alexandrov in the program “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov”.

„If we have to say something about political anthropology in Bulgaria, it is the well-known fact that it is highly personalized,” commented Aleksandrov.

According to him, a compromise after the vote on October 27 is possible if a unifying figure is found.

„Following the logic of this political culture, there can be if everyone agrees that there is one powerful figure around which to organize and structure society. At the moment we do not have this figure of the gentleman, in Bulgarian – hero, and we have several candidates for that role. Obviously, Borisov maintains his positions as the most powerful political leader, but we have serious contenders in the person of President Radev, of Delyan Peevski”, Aleksandrov commented.

„Radev through the institutional order personalized the idea of the father, the idea of the leader. In this sense, while we are in this transition period, in which it remains to be seen whether we will align ourselves again around Borisov and GERB, or whether a new powerful figure will be sought, there is some tension and complex negotiations – public and non-public, between the contenders and the current leader”, said Haralan Alexandrov.

„The moment they came to power, the bearers of modern Western uncorrupt culture, who fought against the status quo and corruption, instantly reproduced it. They immediately seized power, began to break the rules, appoint their relatives and lovers to government positions, which severely disqualified themselves from the role of modernizers. They have no moral grounds to claim the role of the good. The moral image they have achieved in a short time is staggering. Especially with the last meanness they created, with the denunciation against Ekaterina Zaharieva in the European institutions. This is the typical behavior of weaklings, of losers," said Haralan Alexandrov.

„We are in a situation where there is no good in either conflict. The brightest is in DPS. It is very difficult to say who is good and who is bad. This has a demoralizing effect, leads to deep depression and a desire to withdraw from public life," the social anthropologist also commented.

He commented that the deepening of this conflict carries the risk of alienating an entire group from the Bulgarian community.
