Nearly 2,000 jobs remain unfilled in the BDZ system, and its management is having difficulty finding employees. This is clear from a report on the staff security of “Holding Bulgarian State Railways” EAD, NKŽI, “BDZ – Passenger transport “, and “BDG - Freight transport”, broadcasts BGNES.
According to her, BDZ Holding currently has 116 employees, and 28 jobs are vacant. 305 additional employees to the current 2,354 employees are being sought at BDZ-Tovarni vervozi.
In BDZ – Passenger transport does not reach 354 workers. At the moment, over 5,500 people work there.
There are 1,305 vacant jobs in NKŽI, with a total of 11,651 employees.
The average age of the workers is about 52 years.
In the next 3 years, nearly 1,400 employees of the BDZ system will have reached retirement age, and in the next six years – over 1,800 of the rest.
The average salary in Holding-BDZ 2 in the amount of BGN 2,414, in Freight transport - BGN 2,282, in Passenger transport – BGN 2,117, and in NKŽI – BGN 1,892.
In order to attract new employees, the management of the various structures of the BDZ envisage paid training and internship, close cooperation with various specialties and universities, scholarship programs, joint projects with the Labor Offices and local authorities.
