Protest readiness has been announced by branch organizations in agriculture, NOVA reported.
The reason - the unpaid funds under the so-called Ukrainian aid. The money to the sector was promised because of the losses the industry suffered from the import of agricultural crops from Ukraine.
The Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Producers joined the request for protests by grain producers, sheep farmers and organic producers. They will have a meeting at the finance ministry today.
According to the industry, the state owes them BGN 300 million for the second tranche of the assistance that was agreed upon in February. The payment deadline expired on September 30. If no agreement is reached, the farmers request to block roads and borders again.
