"We have done more than what is required of us in enhancing the capacity of the "Border Police" with all the technical equipment, with all the measures to counter the organized criminal groups for illegal traffic, with good interaction with Romania, Austria and other European countries, with the strategic cooperation with Turkey, which is a very important element of our activity," he noted.< /p>
In his words, this support for our country and Romania is due to everything achieved and reported at today's meeting. "We hope to have a good, long-awaited decision very soon, I will not bind myself to deadlines," Ilkov added.
According to his words, at today's meeting, a high assessment was given to the joint activities between Bulgaria and Romania and to the good bilateral cooperation. Ilkov announced that he had spoken with his Austrian colleague, but so far there is no definite position from Vienna. "I cannot say what it will be like in the coming days," the minister added.
