Prof. Ivo Hristov: Dramatic processes are developing under this political foam, some politicians use them for fear - 1

Why should people vote? Every action must have a purpose. You may not engage in an action that does not benefit you. The average Bulgarian voter does not see any benefit. You deserve the animal life you lead because you are not capable of anything else.

Napoleon was right - the big battalions decided the historical questions. The Bulgarian people 150 years ago were the largest people in the Balkans, now we have shrunk like shagreen skin.

This is how lawyer and sociologist Prof. Ivo Hristov commented on the expected voter turnout in an interview with BNR.

He pointed out that in such a team "Mediterranean primitive societies" a dictatorship is coming.

"No matter how much they campaign, and that campaigning is quite hypocritical, the political headquarters are forms of cooperative activity and have no interest in a mass political process and mass voting. People will not vote en masse for the simple reason that this political system does not represent their interests. The only thing that can motivate them is to sweep away this political system. But, since there cannot be such a message, people should go out and vote", said Ivo Hristov.

His opinion is that the political programs of the parties "are not read by those who claim to have written them" and about the authors of copy-paste programs from the Internet said:

"If you ask them what is left and right in Bulgaria, they will stand like cattle before 2 cup seasons."

He compared the Bulgarian society to the Russian one – "mess society" and added that Bulgaria does not have the fundamental political prerequisites to represent the interests of social groups – landed class, bourgeoisie, middle class, etc.

"The Bulgarian political system is a farce. To please the politicians, they explain that such a system is possible because the mass makes it possible. The Bulgarian public mass with its laziness, cowardice, illiteracy, apathy is unwilling to take responsibility for its life. Not because the mass will rise and make a revolution, but because it will collapse due to its irrelevance", explained Prof. Hristov.

According to him, nothing matters when you don't have politics and replace it with technology, but it cannot replace the absence of politics.

"Does it matter whether you choose plague or cholera with paper or machine? Voting will be a relevant topic next year at this time as well", the sociologist predicts.

For the lack of leadership debates, he believes that the reason is "there is a process of collapse of human and political capital":

"Look what arshin people there were 30 years ago, what they are now - anthropological nothingness. Imagine that, something parading across your screens every night. The effect will be exactly the opposite and the leaders have felt it."

Prof. Hristov stated that "underneath this political foam, dramatic processes are developing, to which little attention is paid." Some politicians use them for fear". And he pointed out that this is the demographic and the structure of Bulgaria is like a third world country - economy and demographic characteristics, but without the birth rate.

"The emptying of territory in the center of the Balkans and how long do you think geopolitical physics will tolerate this. There are geopolitical factors that will not bear with us much longer. Napoleon is right - the big battalions decide the historical questions. The Bulgarian people 150 years ago were the largest people in the Balkans, now we have shrunk like a shagreen skin", argued Prof. Hristov.

"You deserve the animal life you lead because you are not capable of anything else," he said of all those waiting for the messiah to come and fix us.
