Residents of the villages of Trilistnik, Skutare and Rogosh in the municipality of "Maritsa" are protesting because of the delayed construction of a railway overpass between the village and Rogosh, reported BNR.
The protest is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. near the facility under construction.
People blame NKJI for the huge delay in construction, which they say has been extended several times.
Vasilena Naneva, one of the protesters, explained that the construction has been going on for more than a year, and the deadline for its completion has been extended several times. People don't know when it will be finished, in the meantime they waste time and wreck their cars on the alternative dirt road full of potholes.
"Our other option is the highway, which increases by dozens of kilometers walking to nearby villages. There is no school in Trilistnik, many children go to nurseries and kindergartens in other villages. We don't even have a pharmacy. In practice, we depend on the surrounding settlements," said the woman, who has small children.
The mayor of Trilistnik, Mircho Petrov, also supports the protest and thinks that it is even late.
On social networks, residents of Skutare announced that they will support the Trilistnik protest.
In response to Radio Plovdiv, NKŽI promised that the new overpass should be ready by November 30. However, people do not believe that this will happen and are threatening new protests.
