A letter sent by Хtv to the party headquarters specifies the conditions under which the parties and coalitions that are registered to participate in the elections for the National Assembly in the Republic of Bulgaria participate in the broadcasts from the Хtv program.
Today in the studio of “This morning” no candidate for parliament from Vazrazhdane will enter, and the time, which, according to the letter of Хtv, is allocated to the political party in order to achieve equality between the political parties participating in the election campaign, will be used to present the position of Vazrazhdane.< /p>
On October 14, 2024, in the show “This Morning” The chairman of Vazrazhdane - Kostadin Kostadinov - is a guest on ХTV. He received an invitation from the broadcast team for an interview on the occasion of presenting the position of the Revival party on current issues. To the great surprise of the general public, the presenters of the show did not do an interview, but something very different from it.
For an even greater surprise, the presenter Maria Tsantsarova lied on the broadcast of the TV. And the surprise was even greater when Хtv and CEM in their position defended the presenter who lied on the air of the television.
Representatives of Vazrazhdane take part (and will take part) in interviews in the current broadcasts of btv and answer all the questions of the journalist with respect for his personality, for the media and for the general public that watches the show. However, this does not apply to a show in which Tsantsarova participates. Morality does not allow us.
Today we will not be present in the studio of “This morning”, because the presenter Maria Tsantsarova is present here, who lied on the air of Хtv. A representative of Vazrazhdane will not enter the same studio with the journalist Maria Tsantsarova, who lies on television, as we are aware of the important role of the media in the formation of public attitudes, we respect the media and the general public. We think that being in the same studio with a journalist who lies on TV makes us empathize with that lie.
We call on Maria Tsantsarova to apologize to the general public. We call on Хtv to apologize to the general public for the position they took to defend the lie told by journalist Maria Tsantsarova.
We also remind the members of the Electronic Media Council that no commercial media, media regulator or non-governmental organization can claim the right to defend freedom of speech from the Bulgarian citizens who own it.
We, the representatives of hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian citizens, call on the members of the CEM to refrain from manipulating public opinion, especially during the election campaign period.
