A property owned by Sebakhtin Halil - a candidate-deputy from the lists of the "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" has become the object of deliberate arson. The information was confirmed by Jevdet Chakarov, who holds the position of co-chairman of the political union known as DPS - Dogan.
In an official statement published through the party's press center on Facebook, Jevdet Chakarov stated: "It is with great indignation and concern that I address you regarding the unprecedented and barbaric act of violence committed by our political opponents - the burning of the Sebakhtin base Khalil".
A threat to democracy
According to Chakarov, this incident is not an isolated case. "This case and other similar cases are not only an attack on the 'Alliance for Rights and Freedoms', but also on freedom, democracy and the right of every citizen to express his opinion and support those he deems worthy." ;, he added.
"They try to intimidate us, to make us succumb to fear and hatred, but we are strong and determined. "Democracy cannot be destroyed by fire and violence", Chakarov was categorical.
Earlier in the election campaign, representatives of DPS - Dogan accused supporters of DPS - New Beginning, headed by Delyan Peevski, of beating their activists in the Haskovo region.
