In a specially issued document, uploaded to the section "Selection for chief prosecutor" ; on the website of the Supreme Judicial Council, the special prosecutor appointed to investigate prosecutor number one and his deputies, Daniela Taleva, certifies that in the period December 7, 2023 - October 11, 2024, checks were carried out on reports received against acting chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, who have not established data on committed crimes. It is also explicitly noted that there are no pending and uncompleted criminal proceedings against the only candidate for chief prosecutor, the BNR reports.
Thus, from the certificate issued on October 11, it is clear that Daniela Taleva and her team did not discover any information about a crime committed by Sarafov either under the so-called "Eight Dwarfs" affair, nor in connection with the report that he exerted pressure on the former chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, regarding the investigation at the Customs.
