Among the requests, there is also one for securing an additional BGN 7,100,000 for salary growth at the Bulgarian National Radio.
Introduction of a tax on "harmful foods", taxation of excess profits and introduction of a tax on financial transactions is proposed by the KNSB in a package of measures that will lead to at least 2 billion BGN additional revenues in next year's budget are also among the requests.
Another demand of the trade union is for an annual increase of the maximum insurance income by the percentage of increase in the annual average insurance income, which for next year means that it will become 4,275 leva, instead of the current 3,750 leva.
KNSB President Plamen Dimitrov announced that trade unionists are demanding a one percentage point increase in the pension contribution to the National Social Security Institute for 2025:
"We continue to insist that the insurance system should make its contribution so that it balances itself better and less expects a transfer to it in order to finance its expenses from the republican budget, you understand - from tax revenues", said trade union leader Plamen Dimitrov.
