Minister of the Interior Atanas Ilkov will present the report of the Ministry of Interior on Sunday's parliamentary elections, BNT reported.
He is expected to answer the questions posed by President Rumen Radev regarding the actions of the Ministry of the Interior regarding the numerous reports of bought and manipulated votes. Yesterday, the ministry said that the summary report related to the conclusion of the extraordinary parliamentary elections is to be submitted to the presidency, the parliament and the Council of Ministers.
In a position distributed to the media, the head of state states that Bulgarian citizens have the right to know in whose interest the institutions work and whether someone is penetrating the National Assembly through vote-buying, threats and racketeering.
The President also asks who is the political force and who is the leader associated with these ugly practices. Among the questions asked by Radev is whether state bodies were used as a bludgeon over mayors and businesses to vote under orders and whether the criminal contingent was harnessed to gather votes?
