The Central Election Commission ordered to stop the changes of members of sectional election commissions made at the request of parties. The directive must be implemented by the Regional Electoral Commissions, and CEC Chairperson Kamelia Neikova stated the reasons, quoted by BNR:

"Today, SECs receive election papers and materials and arrange polling stations, so endless last-minute substitutions can create difficulties in the election process.

For its decision, the Central Electoral Commission referred to Article 93 of the Electoral Code. It specifies that each Sectional Electoral Commission exercises its powers from the day of its appointment until the completion of the relevant type of election, the delivery of election papers and materials to the Regional Electoral Commission, and when exercising their powers, the members of sectional commissions are officials within the meaning of The Criminal Code.

BNR correspondents from different parts of the country reported earlier today about ongoing mass shifts in sectional committees. These shifts compromise the procedure by which the election papers for tomorrow's vote are handed over to the commissions, the Chairman of the District Election Commission in Blagoevgrad, Martin Buserov, warned our correspondent Keti Trencheva. He described the situation with specific examples.
On today's day for reflection, election campaigning is prohibited.
However, this ban does not cover social networks, which is why the Central Election Commission issued a call that these networks should not be used for campaigning both today and on tomorrow's election day.
