This week, the movement of grain prices on world stock markets has calmed down to a large extent, report the experts of the Sofia Stock Exchange (SSE).
The FOB (Free On Board) price of bread wheat in Chicago fell $2 to $258 a tonne for November delivery. France also dropped €2 to €223 per tonne. Ukraine and Russia broke the upward trend and remained unchanged at prices of 240 and 245 dollars per ton.
The movement of the price of corn follows the same parameters - minus 4 dollars in the USA to 210 dollars per ton, 4 euros down in France to 208 euros per ton, while in Ukraine the trend reversed again with an increase of 3 dollars to 221 dollars per tone.
The price of barley in Ukraine also rose by $5 to $208 per tonne for delivery in November, and rapeseed on "Euronext" (Euronext), for delivery in November, shot up for the third consecutive week by another 13.75 euros to 522.25 euros per tonne.
Crude sunflower oil contracts on the Rotterdam Stock Exchange for November delivery, after long losses and last week's jump higher, are now back up sharply by $70 to $1,265 a tonne. Refined sugar also continued its long-term swing after experiencing two straight weeks of strong gains followed by losses, and these days for December delivery moved up $7.10 again to $576.50 a tonne on the London Stock Exchange.
At the Sofia Commodity Exchange, the trade in grain goods moved. The demand for bread wheat from this year's harvest rose to BGN 545 per ton, the supply also fell to this price and deals were made for over fifty thousand tons at BGN 545 per ton. Announcements for demand for feed wheat by specification gravitate around BGN 340 per ton, and those for bulk feed wheat move between BGN 385 and 510 per ton, respectively for "buying" and "sells".
The prices of basic goods are stable at the same level as the initial prices. Oil in bottles is sold at BGN 2.20 per liter, as well as unrefined oil at BGN 1,750 per ton. The offer of yellow peas in big backs of one ton continues at a starting price of BGN 1,200 per ton.
