Vasil Terziev: My team and I do not succumb to pressure - 1

"In one year everyone who tried understood one thing: me and my team do not give in to pressure, no matter where or from whom it comes — companies, nicknames, friends, opponents, supporters", Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev wrote on his Facebook profile. He adds that the only thing that matters is to do the things that are useful for the city and to honestly manage the resource of the people of Sofia.

Our administration finds solutions to the problems in the city, Terziev points out. Every single decision that is taken, we strive to be well thought out, for the benefit of the citizens, systematic and principled, he also writes. Terziev notes that he has always said that it doesn't matter to him where good solutions come from, "as long as they work for our city".

I do not divide the regional mayors or the municipal councilors, because the people of Sofia have voted for them to govern the city together, Terziev points out and adds that he has never divided the people into “ours and yours”. I am the mayor of all Sofians, he wrote. Our understanding and belief will not change in any way, that for every well-considered decision in favor of the city, there will be at least 31 votes in the Municipal Council, for whom Sofia and the people are more important to them than noisy political PR or economic interests, commented the mayor.

Tomorrow marks exactly one year since my oath as mayor of Sofia “in all my actions to be guided by the interests of the citizens of Sofia Municipality and to work for their well-being”. Tomorrow we will present the big picture of what we have done in the one year behind us. We will talk about all those things that we didn't have time to talk about because it was more important for us to finish them, writes Terziev.
