< strong>Students will have the longest Christmas vacation, FOCUS reported.
The mayor of Plovdiv, Kostadin Dimitrov, will declare January 3 a non-school day for all students in the city under the hills.
This happened after the MES rejected the proposal to officially declare January 3 a non-school day throughout the country.
The capital mayor Vasil Terziev made the first such decision. He was followed by the mayor of Stara Zagora Zhivko Todorov and the mayor of Vidin Tsvetan Tsenkov.
With Kostadin Dimitrov's decision, Plovdiv students will have a total of 16 days of Christmas-New Year vacation, which makes it the longest for the last few years. It starts on December 21 (Saturday) and lasts until January 5 (Sunday).
The first school day for the new year 2025 will be January 6, Monday.
