Sofia is the heart of the Bulgarian economy – the city that creates over 40% of the country's GDP. This was stated by Vasil Terziev in a video on Facebook on the occasion of one year of his administration of Sofia.
"But the real engine of success is people. The increase in wages happens when there are folders in the drawers instead of bundles.
That's why we took an important step – we raised wages in key sectors that had been neglected for years.
In 12 months, we raised the salaries of nurses in schools and kindergartens by 30%, drivers in public transport by 15%.
This is an investment in the people who work daily for a better Sofia – for all of us."
