Another attempt to make the 51st National Assembly work will begin at 10:00 a.m. today, reported BNT. Without an analogue to date, for the 11th time the deputies will try to elect the speaker of the parliament.
Yesterday, the constitutionalist Natalia Kiselova from "BSP - United Left" was one step away from taking the post. She went to the runoff with the ITN candidate and the oldest MP - Silvi Kirilov. At the first vote after the break, Kiselova collected 89 votes "for" and, in addition to "BSP- United Left" GERB-SDS also supported it. In the re-voting, 118 deputies voted for her, and she also received the support of "DPS - A New Beginning", which further inflamed passions.
Silvi Kirilov received 99 votes "for". Later in "More of the Day" on BNT, Kiselova stated that the support of "DSP-New Beginning" was unsolicited and added that the PP-DB's declaration of a "sanitary cordon" around Peevski was signed by the BSP, but their colleagues did not understand because of a communication problem. Thus, voting for the chairman continues today.
