Bulgarian Safety Agency of food has begun enhanced checks that will last until March 14, 2025. including, in connection with the upcoming winter tourist season.
On the territories of the Regional Directorates for Food Safety Sofia-city, Sofia-region, Smolyan and Blagoevgrad, establishments for retail trade in food, mobile establishments, establishments with catering activities, catering establishments, incl. and those located on the territory of hotel complexes, tourist sites with accommodation and/or offering the "all inclusive“ and others.
Inspections at the resorts aim to establish the origin and proper storage, as well as shelf life of raw materials and food, compliance of building stock and equipment. The inspectors pay attention to whether suitable conditions for washing and disinfection, appropriate work clothes and personal protective equipment are provided.
If non-conformities are found, action will be taken in accordance with the current legislation in the field of food.
