"Democratic Bulgaria" and GERB-SDF have held a preliminary meeting for negotiations on forming a government. This was stated to BNT by the Deputy Chairman of the PP-DB's PG.
The meeting was held yesterday and was purely organizational in nature, explained Bozhidar Bozhanov.
"A zero meeting, at which we will specify organizational issues - how the burnouts, the meetings will proceed. There were no negotiations," said Bozhidar Bozanov from the Bulgarian Democratic Party.
Two things became clear from this zero-sum meeting:
“It has to happen very quickly (the negotiations), there is no time to waste. The second is that the meetings will be in parliament“, he further explained.
From his words it became clear that there will probably be a meeting between the parties at the beginning of next week. They have not yet specified who will speak after the negotiations. They are also about to clarify with the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the Bulgarian Nationalist Party how the talks will be conducted. Bozhidar Bozanov also commented on the tension in the PP-DB coalition.
“With my colleagues from the PP, we have a common goal and it is an anti-corruption pro-European government. The tactical differences that we have are only tactical. "That is, we are sitting down for negotiations so that we can convince our colleagues of these priorities," Bazhanov commented.
Bazhanov did not say what the chances are of forming a government in the first term.
