Volgin accused the West of disinformation about Ukraine, Kovachev called him the voice of Moscow - 1

The MEP from the "Europe of Sovereign Nations" Peter Volgin accused the Western power centers and the European Parliament of disinformation about the war in Ukraine during a debate in the plenary hall in Strasbourg, BNR reported

"Exposing Western lies involves clearly stating the following facts. For the first time, an independent Ukrainian state was created only in 1991, and since then the collective West has been doing everything possible to turn Ukraine into its anti-Russian puppet. Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote in his book "The Grand Chessboard" that in order to weaken Russia, its ties with Ukraine must be severed. The last thing Western leaders are interested in is the democracy, freedom and prosperity of Ukraine. This country is important to them only to the extent that they can use it in their war against Russia. The West organized the coup in Ukraine in 2014. The West also forbade Ukraine from concluding a peace agreement with Russia at the beginning of the war," Volgin said.

"You have just heard here, in parliament, the voice of Moscow, unfortunately", said immediately after him, MEP from the European People's Party Andrei Kovachev:

"Dictatorship regimes falsify history to justify their crimes. National Socialists and communists justified deportation, terror and mass murders by manipulative presentation of historical arguments. Unfortunately, this practice continues today, when the regime in the Kremlin tries to justify its aggression against Ukraine with the shameless lie that it is fighting Nazism. It is extremely cynical that the Kremlin's defenders in the EU present themselves as peacemakers. Manipulative interpretation of historical facts and personalities hinders reconciliation, inflames hatred and creates the conditions for the continuation of conflicts between neighbors.
