The leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov said that today they are sending a signal to the National Security Agency (DANS) in connection with an attempt to recruit Bulgarian municipal councilors on a large scale.
According to him, emails were sent suggesting that a training program be organized in the US for an unspecified period of time to acquire leadership skills. Such a large-scale email attack has not happened for several years, he said.
"It is not right for Bulgarian municipal councilors, judges and prosecutors, employees, and officials to be trained by a foreign organization," Kostadinov said. According to him, in recent decades, a "closed ecosystem of American NGOs, American parties and American analysts" has been created in Bulgaria. "This creates a very dangerous foreign influence in our country", he added.
He also commented on how, in his opinion, the negotiations for a government are going.
"There is an attempt to form a government, a really serious one, we see that the president is also giving a chance. I don't see what is going on with the so-called negotiations - are they going well, are they official, are they closed to the media. If something is not open to the media, it means that there are some chances, something is being distributed", said Kostadinov.
"There will be a government if the BSP, DB and ITN betray their voters and make a deal with GERB", he said.
