On Monday, negotiations for the signing of the Collective Labor Agreement between the workers and the management of the Sofia "Autotransport" will begin in the Sofia Municipality, assured the mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev, quoted by novini.bg
The salaries and bonuses of the workers are guaranteed, said Vasil Terziev, who met with the protesters from the Federation of Transport Unions at the Confederation of Trade Unions
"I want to thank everyone for the quick reaction and for the fact that the work of public transport has been restored. It is of utmost importance to us that whatever conversations are held and positions are clarified, they do not come at the cost of the comfort and convenience of Sofia residents. There is an understanding from all sides that this is the way we want to continue - through good dialogue - something that was also seen at today's meeting. I want to thank all participants for their goodwill, for the quick response and for the fact that there were no subsequent disruptions in public transport. Everyone's goal is to sort out the public transport system, to have a good service, reliable for Sofia residents and for it to get better every year, because for us this is a strategic priority - to develop public transport, which means working conditions, pay and all other shortcomings that have accumulated over the years, Terziev told journalists in Sofia.
This morning, public transport stopped on 26 bus lines due to the protest of drivers and technical staff from the "Zemlyane" garage.
