GERB made a huge compromise by ensuring that the party's leader Boyko Borisov will not be prime minister. This was stated by the candidate for interior minister Daniel Mitov upon entering parliament. According to him, the people who voted for GERB wanted to see Borisov at the head of the state.
He expressed hope that the life of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet would be as long as possible and specified that compromises are made in order to resolve important issues for the country.
"I am not going to the Ministry of Interior with a list of people. I have not looked for who are criminals and who are not. The system needs calm and a sober assessment of where the problems are&rdquo, Mitov pointed out.
