A few words about my impressions from yesterday in Washington, where I was invited by my good friends from the Republican Party to be part of the inauguration ceremony of the new president of America.
I accepted the invitation so that I could get first-hand information about where the largest economy in the world is heading.

I participated in three events:
At an official meeting of Republican governors, congressmen and senators (in a closed circle) I had the opportunity to discuss with those present the priorities of the next administration, including President Trump's idea of "Drill, baby drill" and the stricter implementation of the "Magnitsky" law. I have already written about these conversations.
Afterwards, all the guests also had an invitation to Capital One, where there were over 12,000 ordinary Trump supporters. It was felt that everyone understood that the strength of the new administration rests precisely on this strong enthusiasm of ordinary people from the middle states.
The highlight of the evening was the Freedom Ball, which was attended by many of the official guests, and that ended the day.
Today I continue with individual meetings with Republicans, people who will be part of the next administration, as well as with some of my friends from the Democratic Party.
After tomorrow's meetings, I return to Bulgaria, convinced that there are things of mutual interest that we need to move forward, and that the dialogue with the new administration must continue - not based on ideology, but on real practical policies from which Bulgaria can benefit.
Trump came, "Magnitsky" remains!
