Two new regions declare flu epidemic  - 1

Two new regions of the country declare a flu epidemic - Dobrich and Veliko Tarnovo, the Ministry of Health announced. The introduced anti-epidemic measures on the territory of Vidin municipality are being extended until February 2, 2025. This was announced by the director of the Regional Health Institute - Vidin, Dr. Ventsislav Vladinski, in an order.

From tomorrow - January 24, temporary anti-epidemic measures are being introduced in Dobrich. They will be valid until January 30. In Veliko Tarnovo region, the measures come into effect from Monday - January 27 to February 4. There, mandatory wearing of medical face masks by medical and non-medical staff in medical institutions, as well as by patients, will also be introduced.

In the meantime, the period of the declared epidemic in Vidin is extended until February 2, suspending the in-person learning process and the conduct of extracurricular activities and organized activities with students on the territory of the Vidin municipality.

We recall that temporary measures are in force in five more districts - Varna, Haskovo, Yambol, Plovdiv and Blagoevgrad. In all, preventive examinations, mandatory immunizations and re-immunizations, and scheduled consultations of healthy pregnant women and children have been suspended by orders of the directors of the relevant RHIs, as well as visits to medical institutions for inpatient care and to specialized institutions for the provision of social services and residential social services for children and adults.
